Venkateshwara University and UK’s Harper Adams University Join Hands to Establish Joint Campus in India

Meerut / New Delhi: In a historic academic milestone, Shri Venkateshwara University has entered into a landmark collaboration with the prestigious Harper Adams University of the United Kingdom to establish a Joint Campus in India. The campus will focus on key domains such as Agriculture, Food Processing, Healthcare, and Mechanical Engineering, aimed at delivering globally benchmarked education within India.

The formal signing and exchange of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place on Monday evening during a grand event at Hotel Taj Mansingh, New Delhi. The ceremony was graced by Dr. Sudhir Giri, Founder and Chairman of the Venkateshwara Group; Prof. (Dr.) Ken Sloan, Vice Chancellor and CEO of Harper Adams University; Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, Pro-Chancellor; Prof. Krishna Kant Dave, Vice Chancellor; Mr. Ajay Srivastava, CEO of Venkateshwara; and Mr. Yatin, India Head of Harper Adams.

A New Academic Era in Agriculture, Healthcare & Engineering

The joint campus will be established at Venkateshwara’s Meerut and Gajraula campuses and will offer future-forward academic programs supported by state-of-the-art research and innovation facilities. The initiative is expected to open global doors for Indian students and set new benchmarks in academic excellence.

During the event, Prof. Ken Sloan remarked, “India is one of the fastest-growing education markets in the world. Legal Formalities Underway for Operational Launch

Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi confirmed that the MoU exchange marks the first step in a strategic academic partnership. “Necessary legal formalities are underway, and once completed, the operational phase of the joint campus will begin shortly,” he said.

The signing ceremony also witnessed the traditional Indian welcome of Prof. Sloan with a bouquet and a symbolic gift of the Ashoka Pillar, presented by Dr. Giri, symbolizing India’s heritage and the warmth of this cross-cultural collaboration.

Key attendees included Prof. Piyush Pandey (Registrar), Dr. Rajesh Singh, Dr. Pratap (Meerut Campus), Balaji Mayappan, and Media Head Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.

This Indo-UK academic alliance is set to create new avenues of quality education, international research collaboration, and innovation—a bold step towards global integration in education.
