‘Project Expo – Technovate 2025’ Organized at MIET Meerut, Student Innovations Win Praise

Meerut: The Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) hosted its annual ‘Project Expo – Technovate 2025’ with great enthusiasm and participation. The event showcased an impressive array of technical working and non-working models developed by B.Tech students from various departments.

The event was inaugurated with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony by MIET Chairman Shri Vishnu Saran, Vice Chairman Shri Puneet Agarwal, Campus Director Prof. (Dr.) Sanjay Kumar Singh, along with senior faculty members Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Dr. Vikas Srivastava, Dr. Rambeer Singh, Dr. Avinash Singh, Dr. Swati Sharma, Mr. Rohit Agarwal, Ms. Shivani Rohilla, and Mr. Avinash Kumar.

Students from the departments of Computer Science, Mechanical, IT, Electronics and Communication, Civil, Electrical, and Biotechnology participated with great zeal, presenting innovative projects. The chief guests for the occasion were Mr. A.C. Mathur, Former Group Director, ISRO, and Dr. Sharad Chandra Sharma, Former Associate Director, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre, ISRO, who thoroughly examined the projects and appreciated the students’ creativity and technical skills.

The projects were evaluated based on criteria such as innovation, practicality, and societal impact. During the valedictory ceremony, three best projects overall, along with the top three projects from each department, were honored.

The Mechanical Engineering team comprising Ansh Verma, Ayush Kumar, Akshit Kaushik, and Sparsh Sirohi secured the first position and was awarded the prestigious ‘Chairman’s Award’. The IT department team consisting of Prakhar, Amarendra, and Palak won second place, receiving the ‘Vice Chairman’s Award’. The Biotechnology department team of Anuj Kumar and Ritika Gupta secured third place and was honored with the ‘Campus Director’s Award’.

‘Project Expo – Technovate 2025’ not only served as a platform for students to exhibit their technical prowess but also reflected MIET’s commitment to fostering innovation and technological advancement. The event proved to be a strong motivational force, inspiring students to reach new heights in the field of engineering and technology.
