Meerut: Students of Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT) secured the first position in the Annual Debate Competition 2025, jointly organized by the Meerut Management Association and Dayal Fertilizers.
The topic for the debate was "The Rise of Artificial Intelligence: Will It Create More Job Opportunities than It Eliminates?" Participants from over ten institutions presented well-researched arguments, highlighting both the potential benefits and challenges posed by artificial intelligence in the employment sector.
MIT’s BBA first-year students, Advita Sharma and Anushka Moha, emerged victorious under the mentorship of faculty member Sakshi Ahluwalia, impressing the judges with their analytical thinking and articulate delivery.
Commending their achievement, MIT Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal, Director Dr. K.L.A. Khan, Principal Dr. Himanshu Sharma, Head of Department Himani Mishra, Academic Coordinator Dr. Ravindra Singh, and the faculty extended their congratulations and best wishes for the students’ future endeavors.
