Meerut: The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT) has organized a five-day workshop on "Introduction to Implementation: Machine Learning Algorithms Using Python." Scheduled from April 11 to April 17, 2025, this workshop aims to familiarize participants with the fundamental principles of machine learning and provide practical insights into implementing various algorithms using Python.

The workshop was inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and floral offerings before the idol of Goddess Saraswati by Director Prof. (Dr.) K.L.A. Khan, Academic Dean Prof. (Dr.) Gaurav Sharma, and Head of Department Prof. (Dr.) M.I.H. Ansari. The event was further enriched by the presence of Prof. (Dr.) Himanshu Sharma, Principal of CCS University Programs, and Prof. (Dr.) Neeraj Kant Sharma, Principal of the Pharmacy Department, who shared their valuable insights with the participants.

On the first day, Assistant Professor Varun Kumar from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering delivered an in-depth session on the principles of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and introduced key Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and Scikit-Learn for machine learning applications. Participants received hands-on training on essential concepts, including data preprocessing, model development, training, and evaluation techniques.

The workshop is being coordinated by Associate Professor Dr. Himanshu Sirohi and Assistant Professor Varun Kumar. The inaugural session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of over 50 attendees. The event was skillfully hosted by Lekhika Prakash.

The successful execution of the workshop has been supported by Prof. (Dr.) Suneet Shukla, Prof. (Dr.) Praveen Kumar, Prof. (Dr.) Mohammad Sadim, Prem Kishor Gautam, Amol Sharma, Ayush Singhal, Azad Kumar, and Srishti Agarwal.

In the coming days, the workshop will delve deeper into advanced aspects of machine learning, equipping participants with practical expertise in the field.
