56 Meritorious Students Awarded Scholarships at MIET; MP Arun Govil Distributes Cheques

Pishtiya Vidya Usha Trust grants ₹30,000 each to support academically bright but economically challenged students

Meerut, Correspondent. A total of 56 meritorious and financially underprivileged students of Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) received scholarships during a dignified ceremony held on Monday at the institute’s Baghpat Bypass Crossing campus.

The scholarships, amounting to ₹30,000 per student, were provided by the Pishtiya Vidya Usha Trust, which has been working for the past 12 years to support talented students who are unable to access government scholarships due to financial constraints.

The event was graced by Member of Parliament from Meerut-Hapur and renowned actor Arun Govil, who distributed the scholarship cheques and delivered an inspiring address to the students.

“True success in life stems from positive thinking and a clear conscience,” said Mr. Govil. “Never try to rise by putting others down; instead, progress through values and hard work.”
He also encouraged students to read the Ramayana and embrace high moral standards and cultural values in life.

Mr. Vishnu Sharan, Chairman of MIET Group and Trustee of Pishtiya Vidya Usha Trust, shared the vision behind the initiative.

“We established the trust in 2014 after realizing that many bright students are unable to pursue their education due to lack of financial support. This scholarship is a step towards ensuring no talent is left behind due to economic barriers.”

The event also saw the presence of MIET Director Dr. Prof. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Dean Gaurav Sharma, and Media Head Ajay Chaudhary, along with other dignitaries.

The atmosphere was filled with joy and confidence as the scholarship recipients expressed their gratitude and determination to excel in their academic journeys.
