MEERUT INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY HOSTS GUEST LECTURE ON 'DINING ETIQUETTES'

Meerut Institute of Technology recently organized a guest lecture on 'Dining Etiquettes' for its students, targeting those preparing for interviews at 5-star and 7-star hotels. The event, held at the college's campus on Partapur Bypass, was a joint initiative of the Training and Placement Cell and the Pharmacy Department.

The lecture, conducted by Prof. Ajhar Hussain, a senior chef from IHM Meerut with 10 years of experience in Dubai, aimed to educate students on the finer nuances of dining etiquette, including table manners, napkin handling, meal sequencing, and wine etiquette. Through live demonstrations, Prof. Hussain provided valuable insights into the importance of cultural etiquette and business protocol, making the session both informative and engaging.

The event was inaugurated by the Director of the institute, Prof. (Dr.) K.L.A. Khan, along with other esteemed faculty members, including Dr. Himanshu Sharma, Dr. Neeraj Kant Sharma, Dr. Gaurav Sharma, and Mohan Prasad, Associate Director (Training and Placement). The lecture was well-received by the students, who appreciated the opportunity to learn about the importance of dining etiquette in the hospitality industry. As emphasized by Mohan Prasad, such lectures can play a significant role in shaping the careers of students, particularly those preparing for interviews at top hotels.
