Meerut: The three-day annual fest ‘Kolahal 2025’ at MIET concluded on a high note, with students showcasing their talents in various competitions and cultural performances. However, the highlight of the evening was the electrifying live performance by Punjabi singers Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai, which left the audience spellbound.
A Day of Competitions and Cultural Excellence
The final day of the fest began with a felicitation ceremony for meritorious students, followed by a theatrical competition, where six teams staged thought-provoking plays on social issues such as politics, women’s safety, female foeticide, and sexual violence. An open mic session allowed students to display their artistic prowess through poetry, music, and debate.
Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai’s Electrifying Performance
As the sun set, the anticipation reached its peak when Jassie Gill and Babbal Rai took the stage. Their energetic performances of hit songs like "Bapu Zimidar," "Nikle Current," "Guitar Sikhda," "Tere Layi," "Kudi Tu Pataka," "Yaar Jatt De," "Gabru," "Lancer," "Nakhre," "Jhumke," and "Dil Ton Black" had the crowd swaying and dancing.
The atmosphere was electric, with students chanting "Once more! Once more!" as the duo delivered back-to-back chartbusters. The venue, illuminated with vibrant lights, saw a frenzy of students capturing the moments on their mobile phones, while the energy in the crowd kept building through the night.
Distinguished Guests and Organizers
The event was graced by MIET Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal, Campus Director Prof. Dr. S.K. Singh, Director (Academics) Dr. Ranjit Verma, Dean of Student Welfare Dr. Honey Tomar, and Media Head Ajay Chaudhary.
The successful execution of the fest was credited to the efforts of the student organizing committee, including Suvansh Jindal, Harshit Goyal, Abhishek Mishra, Atharv Gupta, Divyanshi Dixit, and Utkarsh Garg.
With ‘Kolahal 2025’, MIET once again provided a platform for students to exhibit their skills while enjoying an unforgettable musical experience, marking the event as a grand success.
