Grand Inauguration of Three-Day Annual Fest "Kolahaal 2025" at MIET
Meerut. The three-day annual fest "Kolaahal 2025" was inaugurated with grandeur at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET), located at Baghpat Bypass Crossing. The opening ceremony was graced by Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal, Campus Director Prof. Dr. S.K. Singh, Director (Academics) Dr. Ranjit Verma, and Dean (Student Welfare) Dr. Honey Tomar, who jointly lit the ceremonial lamp. Following this, the dignitaries released balloons into the sky, officially marking the commencement of the much-anticipated event.
A Cultural Beginning with Traditional Dance and Devotional Music
The youth festival "Kolaahal" commenced with Saraswati Vandana, Ganesh Puja, and mesmerizing performances of traditional folk dances from different states of India. These performances showcased the country’s rich cultural diversity, receiving immense appreciation from the audience.
Exciting Competitions Enthrall the AudienceThe first day of Kolaahal featured several thrilling competitions, including Foxtrot Dance Solo, Swar Sangam Solo, Swar Sangam Duet, Fashion Show, and the much-awaited DJ Night.
During the Swar Sangam singing competition, participants delivered captivating performances of Bollywood and Hollywood songs, accompanied by musical instruments. The audience was mesmerized by renditions of "Sun Raha Hai Na Tu," "Tujhe Kitna Chahne Lage Hum," "Tose Naina," and "Suraj Dooba Hai Yaaro."
Fashion Show Steals the Spotlight
One of the key highlights of the evening was the fashion show, which featured four distinct themes – Western Denim, Bridal, Halloween, and Classic Traditional Attire. Participants walked the ramp in stunning outfits, exuding confidence and elegance. Their performances received thunderous applause from the audience.
DJ Night: An Electrifying Musical Experience
The night concluded with an exhilarating DJ Night, where students danced enthusiastically to pulsating beats. The energy was infectious, and the crowd kept cheering "Once More, Once More" as the musical celebration continued late into the night.
