- Students to Groove to Punjabi Singer Amar Sandhu’s Live Performance on March 23
Meerut: The annual youth festival "Mridang-2025" will be held at Meerut Institute of Technology (MIT), Partapur Bypass, on March 22 and 23. In a press conference, event coordinator Dr. Gaurav Sharma announced that this year’s festival is themed "Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat" (One India, Best India). The event will showcase the rich cultural heritage, cuisines, and traditional dances of various states, including Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal, Punjab, Rajasthan, Bihar, and Haryana.
Highlights of Day 1 (March 22):
The first day of the festival will feature exciting events such as:
- Solo Dance Competition
- Musical Performances
- Battle of Bands
- Rap Battle
- Theme-based Fashion Show
- DJ Night
Additionally, under the Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (Self-Reliant India Campaign), "Toycathon 2025" will be organized. In this initiative, students will design toys inspired by Indian culture, ancient Vedic traditions, and traditional games. The primary objective of this initiative is to promote the domestic toy industry and revive India’s lost traditional games.

The second day will witness events like:
- Street Play (Nukkad Natak)
- Group Dance Competition
- Winner Felicitation Ceremony
The grand highlight of the festival will be the live performance by renowned Punjabi singer Amar Sandhu. He will mesmerize the audience with his hit tracks, including:

- Love You Truck Bhar Ke
- Rishtedari
- Changa Lagda
- Kala Til
- Ek Munda
