36-Hour National Hackathon 'Hack Heist 2025' Begins at MIET

 



Meerut: The 36-hour national hackathon, 'Hack Heist 2025,' was inaugurated at MIET in collaboration with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and the MIET Incubation Forum. Hosted by the Google Developers Group on Campus, the event is taking place at MIET’s Centre of Excellence.

This unique hackathon features cutting-edge topics such as cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, blockchain, and software development. The competition received an overwhelming response with 2,000 entries from 15 states across the country, out of which 250 outstanding participants were shortlisted. Eventually, 200 talented contenders engaged in the contest. The event provides participants with invaluable opportunities to gain guidance from industry experts, attend expert sessions, and secure attractive cash prizes, internships, and industry recognition.


The hackathon was inaugurated by the chief guest, Nalin Srivastava (Scientist 'E' & Additional Director, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology), and the distinguished guest, Abhanshu Gupta (Program Manager, Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology Startup Hub). The event was also graced by MIET Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal, and Campus Director Dr. S.K. Singh.

The first expert session of the hackathon featured Abhishek Doshi, who provided in-depth knowledge on Flutter and Firebase, enabling participants to familiarize themselves with the latest development tools. Following this, Dipansh Arya conducted a workshop on Generative AI and Cloud Computing, offering participants hands-on experience and expert guidance.

A mentoring round was conducted at the end of the day, where industry professionals provided personalized guidance to various teams. Throughout the competition, participants presented innovative solutions in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain, and software development.

Several prominent academicians and experts, including Prof. Dr. Shailendra N. Singh, Dr. Vikas Srivastava, Dr. Rambir Singh, Dr. Swati Sharma, Rohit Agarwal, Krishna Kumar Sharma, and Rehan Ahmed, were present during the event.

Additionally, notable contributions were made by Harshit Goyal, Dev Chauhan, Tanishk Talyan, Palak Singhal, Aashi Verma, Deepanshi Gupta, Himanshu Kumar, Kunj Agarwal, Vani Gautam, Vishesh Jindal, Abhijeet Chauhan, Manasvi Goyal, Khyati Malik, Nirdesh Tyagi, and Sumit Agarwal.

The successful execution of this event has significantly promoted technological innovation while providing young talents with a platform to showcase their skills and establish connections within the industry.
