Sports Fest for Teachers Organized at Meerut Institute of Technology
Teachers Exhibit Enthusiasm in Various Competitions
The sports fest saw active participation from faculty members in a range of competitions. In the 100-meter race (women's category), Sazia Saifi clinched first place, followed by Rupal in second and Ritima in third. In the men’s category, Vishal Sharma secured the top spot, while Pravesh and Sumit finished second and third, respectively.
In the lemon race, Ritima emerged as the winner in the women’s category, with Aarti finishing second and Sazia securing third place. In the men’s category, Arun took first place, followed by Saurabh in second and Akhil Gautam in third.
The three-leg race (men's category) witnessed Rampal and Sel winning first place, while the pair of Rohit and Deepak finished second. Kunal Verma and Rohit Chaudhary secured third place.
In the carrom tournament, Sanjeev won the men’s category, while Rupal triumphed in the women’s category. The musical chair competition saw Aarti and Rohit emerging victorious.
Team Sports Add to the Excitement
Apart from individual events, teachers also participated in basketball and volleyball, showcasing their teamwork and enthusiasm.
Promoting Fitness and Competitive Spirit
Addressing the participants, Chairman Vishnu Sharan emphasized the importance of sports in maintaining physical health and fostering a spirit of competition. He encouraged teachers to engage in such activities regularly to set an example for their students and inspire them to adopt an active lifestyle.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from all faculty members, making it a memorable and successful celebration of sportsmanship.
