Meerut: In a significant move towards fostering international academic collaboration, a high-profile delegation from Southern Federal University (SFedU), Russia, visited Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) on Monday. The visit aimed at strengthening academic cooperation, exploring research opportunities, and enhancing global education partnerships between the two institutions.
The delegation was led by Dr. Vasiliy Kalachev (Dean, Institute of Mathematics, Mechanics, and Computer Science) and Dr. Oleg Kravchenko (Associate Professor & Head of Department). The delegates interacted with MIET students, offering insights into Russian education, research prospects, and international career opportunities.
Strategic Discussions and High-Level Meetings
A high-level meeting was convened between the SFedU delegation and MIET’s leadership, including Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal, Campus Director Dr. Sanjay Singh, Dean Academics Dr. Sanjeev Singh, Vice President (CSR) Dr. Vibhuti Shanker, and Associate Director (Placements) Mohan Prasad. Over 200 students participated in an interactive session with the Russian delegates, engaging in discussions on international career prospects, research collaborations, and global education opportunities. Following the session, an Olympiad Test was conducted, providing students with a platform to showcase their academic capabilities.
Campus Tour: Showcasing Innovation and ResearchThe SFedU delegation toured MIET’s state-of-the-art laboratories and innovation centers, including the AICTE IDEA Lab, ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation, and MIET Incubation Forum. They interacted with students and researchers, gaining insights into MIET’s technological advancements and research capabilities.

The visit concluded with a cultural and academic exchange, further reinforcing bilateral cooperation.
