Shri Venkateshwara University, Gajraula, recently celebrated National Science Day 2025 with great enthusiasm and fervor. The four-day extravaganza witnessed over 400 students from Venkateshwara University, VGI Merath, and School of Science, Engineering, and Applied Sciences participating in various competitions, including quizzes, poster making, model exhibitions, and seminars on innovation in science.
The event saw renowned scientists and academicians emphasizing the need to move beyond mere bookish knowledge and incorporate science into daily life. They also stressed the importance of promoting research and innovation to build a developed India. The university's founder chairman, Dr. Sudhir Giri, urged students to adopt a more practical approach to science and technology, citing the example of European countries that have reached global leadership through innovation.
During the event, the university also announced its commitment to promoting research culture by signing academic agreements with over 100 international universities. The university's vice-chancellor, Dr. Krishna Kant Dubey, also announced that the university would provide free patent facilities to its students and researchers for their innovative ideas and products. The grand finale of the event saw a cultural program and award ceremony, where winners of the competitions were awarded certificates and trophies.
