Haldwani. MIET Kumaon College is set to host an international conference on February 24 and 25, 2025. The event is being organized in collaboration with the Uttarakhand Science Education and Research Centre (USERC). The central theme of the conference will be "Emerging Trends in Agricultural Sciences, STEM, and Healthcare for Sustainable Development."
During a press conference organized by the college, Dr. Tarun Saxena (Executive Director), Dr. B.S. Bisht (Managing Director), Dr. Kamal Rawat (CEO, ACIC Devbhoomi Foundation), and Ajay Chaudhary (Media Head) shared details about the event. They informed that the international conference is being organized in association with Kumaun University (Nainital), Uttarakhand Open University (Haldwani), Soban Singh Jeena University (Almora), and Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Medical Education University (Dehradun).
The chief guest for the conference will be Member of Parliament Ajay Bhatt (Nainital-Udham Singh Nagar constituency) and former Minister of State for Defence, Government of India. The Guests of Honour will include Prof. Dr. Satpal Singh (Vice-Chancellor, Soban Singh Jeena University, Almora) and Prof. Dr. Sanjay Kumar (Director, Uttarakhand Council for Science and Technology).
The two-day conference will feature over 300 research scholars presenting their research papers on eight key topics, with more than 800 participants attending the event. Additionally, 28 eminent speakers will share insights on various subjects. Research papers from South Africa, China, the USA, Russia, and several other countries will also be featured, making it a globally significant academic platform.
The conference is expected to be a significant step towards advancing scientific research and sustainable development, offering new directions and opportunities for Uttarakhand and the entire nation.
