Five-Day Inter-District Youth Exchange Program Begins in Meerut

Meerut: The five-day Inter-District Youth Exchange Program, organized by Nehru Yuva Kendra, Meerut, under the My Bharat Youth Program (Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Government of India), commenced on Saturday at Welcome Alibis Hotel, Meerut. The event began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and garlanding of Swami Vivekananda’s statue, symbolizing inspiration for the youth.

Eminent Speakers Motivate the Youth

The chief guest, Prof. Dushyant Kumar Chauhan (Coordinator, NSS, Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut), addressed the 27 young participants from Varanasi, emphasizing that youth are the future of the nation. He highlighted how this exchange program would provide them with an opportunity to explore Meerut’s revolutionary history and cultural heritage. He also lauded the government's initiative in fostering such interactions.

Guest of Honor, Dr. Vaishvik Dwas (District Youth Welfare Officer, Meerut), energized the participants with his inspiring words, while District Youth Officer Yashwant Yadav also guided the youth through his address.

Cultural Connection Between Meerut and Varanasi

The event was presided over by Ankur Kushwaha, President of BJP Yuva Morcha, Meerut, who emphasized the cultural similarities between Meerut and Varanasi, particularly their shared spiritual significance associated with Lord Shiva. He encouraged the youth to fully engage in this exchange program to gain valuable insights into each other’s traditions.

The event was conducted by Narendra Tyagi, with the presence of key dignitaries, including Sandeep Kumar, Rakesh Yadav, Devendra Patel, Adarsh Jaiswal, Vishal Patel, Surendra Kumar, Sandhya Patel, Ritu Yadav, Phulgena Devi, and Neha Patel, along with the enthusiastic youth delegation from Varanasi.

This initiative aims to foster cultural understanding, leadership development, and experiential learning, offering young participants a platform to exchange ideas and broaden their perspectives.
