Rajasthan Youth Explore Meerut’s Culture: Motivational Sessions and Regional Tours Organized


Meerut: Under the five-day Inter-State Youth Exchange Program organized by the Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Meerut, 27 youth participants from six districts of Rajasthan were introduced to the rich culture, history, and language of Meerut through various inspirational and educational sessions.

As part of the program, Professor Jaiveer Rana from the Political Science Department of Chaudhary Charan Singh University enlightened the participants on the significance of youth leadership and strategies for its development. Dr. Vineet Sharma highlighted the importance of life skills, while Dr. Kavita Tyagi elaborated on the unique attributes of Meerut’s Khadi Boli and linguistic heritage.

To acquaint the participants with the glorious past of the 1857 revolution, Dr. Pankaj Sharma from NAS College provided an in-depth historical overview. Additionally, the participants visited several historical and cultural landmarks, including Augharnath Temple, State Freedom Struggle Museum, Shaheed Smarak, Victoria Park, and, in Hastinapur, Karn Temple, Pandeshwar Temple, and Jambudweep.

On January 26, the participants actively engaged in a cleanliness drive at Lohia Park, emphasizing the message of cleanliness and community service through their efforts.

The cultural and historical journey aimed to familiarize the youth with Meerut’s rich traditions and revolutionary history, while inspiring them to drive positive societal change. The participants found the program highly beneficial and motivational, expressing appreciation for the knowledge and experiences gained.
