Message of National Unity, Integrity, and Peace Through Cultural Programs and Inspiring Speeches
Meerut: Shri Venkateshwara University, located on the National Highway Bypass, celebrated the 76th Republic Day of India with grandeur and patriotic fervor. The event commenced with the floral tributes to Goddess Saraswati and Bharat Mata, followed by the hoisting of the 100-foot-high tricolor by Founder Chairman Dr. Sudhir Giri, Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi, Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Krishnakant Dave, Chief Guest Dr. Divya Mathur (Chief Officer, British High Commission, London), and other dignitaries.
The occasion was marked by the release of white doves and the flying of 1,000 balloons in the tricolor hues, symbolizing national unity, integrity, and peace. Along with patriotic fervor, the event also included prayers to Bharat Mata and a series of cultural programs, which captivated the audience.
Inspiring Messages and Speeches
In his address, Dr. Sudhir Giri, Founder Chairman, said, "Serving the nation is not limited to fighting on borders. Every citizen can contribute to building a corruption-free India by working with honesty and dedication in their respective fields. This too is a true form of patriotism." He highlighted the fundamental rights enshrined in the Constitution, such as the Right to Education, the Right to Equality, and the Right to Freedom, which have made India the world's largest democracy.
Chief Guest Dr. Divya Mathur emphasized that historic decisions like abrogation of Article 370, "One Nation, One Flag, One Constitution," were possible due to a strong Constitution and capable leadership. Pro-Chancellor Dr. Rajeev Tyagi highlighted the significance of the Right to Education, stating that it has empowered even underprivileged children to access free education in expensive private schools.
Vice-Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Krishnakant Dave said, "Every citizen can contribute to the nation’s progress by working with honesty and dedication in their respective fields. This is the true essence of patriotism."
Cultural Performances Add Patriotic Fervor
The event witnessed mesmerizing group dance performances on patriotic songs by medical and nursing students, which drew applause from the audience. The cultural presentations filled the atmosphere with a sense of pride and patriotism.

The program was graced by several notable attendees, including Dr. Pratap Singh (Director, Meerut Campus), Dr. Ena Eric Brown, Dr. Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr. Rajesh Singh, Dr. Vivek Sachan, Dr. Shilpi Raina, Dr. Priya Yadav, Dr. V.N. Jha, Manish Sharma, and Dr. C.P. Singh.
The event was skillfully anchored by Dr. Manish Sharma and Akhil Kumar from the Nursing Department. All dignitaries appreciated the event, calling it a grand success and an inspiring celebration of the Republic Day spirit.
