Grand Inauguration of Inter-State Youth Exchange Program by Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Meerut
Meerut: The Nehru Yuva Kendra Sangathan, Meerut, inaugurated a five-day Inter-State Youth Exchange Program with grandeur at a hotel in Saket. A total of 27 youths, including 25 young men and women and 2 team leaders from five districts of Rajasthan—Rajsamand, Bundi, Nagaur, Jodhpur, and Hanumangarh—participated in this initiative on the historic land of revolution, Meerut.
The event was inaugurated by Chief Guest Ajay Chaudhary, Media Head of MIET, along with District Youth Officer Yashwant Yadav, Accountant Narendra Tyagi, Sandeep, and Akhil Gautam, who jointly lit the ceremonial lamp.
Providing details of the program, the accountant stated that the event will run from January 24 to January 28, 2025, featuring various engaging and informative activities. These activities include learning the language of paired states, cultural exchanges, discussions on lifestyle aspects, local sports, film screenings of respective states, nutrition parades, cultural cuisine and culinary exhibitions, career guidance sessions, and motivational lectures.
District Youth Officer Yashwant Yadav highlighted the program’s objectives, emphasizing its primary goal of fostering better coordination among states by sharing knowledge of different cultures, traditions, and customs across states and union territories. The program aims to provide young participants with opportunities to enhance mutual understanding through language, cuisine, arts, and cultural diversity.
He further added that the initiative seeks to establish a strong foundation for long-term connections and collaboration among the youth of different states. The event will facilitate the exchange of valuable traditions and experiences, promoting mutual learning and understanding of social customs and family values. It will also strengthen the emotional bonds traditionally present among the country's youth. The overarching objective is to encourage harmony and goodwill among the youth, contributing to national cultural unity.
Addressing the participants, Ajay Chaudhary described Meerut as the land of revolutionaries, offering an in-depth insight into its glorious history from the 1857 uprising to the present day. He inspired the youth by emphasizing that Meerut has not only been a pivotal center in India’s struggle for independence but continues to lead in the fields of education and journalism. He discussed the contributions of major educational institutions in Meerut and the evolving landscape of education.
Additionally, Chaudhary shed light on the emerging challenges and opportunities in the field of journalism. Stressing the need for independent and unbiased journalism, he remarked that media plays a crucial role in building a strong society.
The event concluded with the felicitation of all participants, who were honored with garlands and provided program-related kits.
