Meerut: The Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) recently hosted its annual Alumni Meet, bringing together former students from batches spanning 2003 to 2013. The event, organized by the MIET Alumni Foundation (MAF), saw over 400 alumni, along with their families, gather to relive cherished memories and reconnect with old friends.The event commenced with a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony led by MIET Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal, Campus Director Dr. S.K. Singh, Dean Academics Dr. Sanjeev Singh, and MAF President Jaydev Datta, among other dignitaries. Alumni from various disciplines, including BTech, BTech Biotechnology, B Pharma, and M Pharma, attended the meet, sharing stories of their college days and reminiscing about their time at the institute.The atmosphere was filled with nostalgia as alumni reflected on their academic journeys, free from the pressures of attendance, exams, and deadlines. While time had changed their appearances, the bonds of friendship remained intact. The event also highlighted the successful formation of MAF’s governing body and discussed initiatives to strengthen the foundation further.The program featured lively interactions, music, and entertainment, with contributions from the DCPD team, Intel Society, and the Swarang Band. Dean Student Welfare Prof. Dr. Honey Tomar, Associate Director Placement Mohan Prasad, and other faculty members played a pivotal role in ensuring the event’s success.
The MIET Alumni Meet not only celebrated the enduring spirit of camaraderie but also reinforced the institute’s commitment to fostering lifelong connections among its alumni. The evening concluded on a high note, leaving attendees with renewed memories and strengthened bonds.
