Meerut Mahotsav: Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Robotics Inspire Young Minds

Meerut: The MIET Incubation Forum and ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation, in a collaborative effort, provided a unique platform for youth and children during the Meerut Mahotsav. The festival was dedicated to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and technical skill development through various workshops and engaging activities.

Key attractions of the event included design thinking workshops, idea-making sessions, prototype creation, 3D printing workshops, nature workshops, live skill workshops, robo races, and robot wars. More than 2,000 students actively participated, gaining hands-on experience in robotics and exploring the world of innovation.

Fostering Entrepreneurship

The event emphasized the nuances of startups and entrepreneurship. The sight of robots built at the festival ignited excitement among the students, who enthusiastically participated in workshops to learn the techniques of building robots.

Rehan Ahmed, CEO of MIET Incubation Forum, stated that the initiative aims to inspire youth to become job providers rather than job seekers. Prashant Kumar Gupta, CEO of ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation, emphasized the role of the Atal Community Innovation Centre in helping students transform their innovative ideas into tangible prototypes using 3D printing technology. "We are committed to assisting students in bringing their innovative ideas to reality," he said.

Practical Learning by Pharmaceutical Technology Department

The Pharmaceutical Technology Department of MIET played a significant role by organizing practical workshops for participants. These sessions included soap making, lip balm creation, understanding the process of wine production, and sessions on the importance of vital signs in patient care.

These activities provided students with practical knowledge and simplified technical concepts for better understanding. Dr. Vipin Kumar Garg remarked that the first day of Meerut Mahotsav was a grand success and expressed eagerness to welcome more young talents in the coming days. The efforts of dedicated educators such as Dr. Ankit Tomar, Ms. Vishi Khatri, and Ms. Archana Adhana contributed significantly to the success of these sessions.

Empowering Grassroots Innovators

The festival also provided a platform for grassroots innovators to showcase their ideas. According to Prashant Gupta, the best innovative ideas selected during the event will be taken to the center and developed into real-world solutions.

A Blend of Entertainment and Inspiration

While the festival offered various entertainment programs for children and adults, its primary focus remained on knowledge enhancement and innovation. Activities like robo races, robot wars, and robo soccer captivated students and encouraged them to explore technical fields further.

A Step Towards Self-Reliant India

Meerut Mahotsav 2024 provided a robust foundation for inspiring youth towards innovation and entrepreneurship. The festival instilled a passion for creation and motivated participants to contribute to building an Aatmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India).

By offering opportunities to recognize and realize their potential, the festival not only guided students in a new direction but also strengthened their resolve to bring their ideas to life. Such initiatives play a pivotal role in fostering a progressive and self-reliant nation.
