IMPACT 2024 at MIET Meerut: A Landmark Event for Innovation and Entrepreneurship



Meerut, December 2023 – The Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity, Software Development Cell, and ACIC-MIET Meerut Foundation successfully organized IMPACT 2024, a groundbreaking event dedicated to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and technological advancement. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of transforming India into a developed nation by 2047, the event also saw collaboration from the AICTE Idea Lab.

The event witnessed participation from over 500 students from MIET, MIT, and Indraprastha Engineering College, forming 146 teams. Students showcased innovative projects across diverse domains, including agriculture, cybersecurity, green technology, women’s safety, and space technology. After four rigorous rounds, 27 teams advanced to the final stage.

The closing ceremony featured Nupur Shrotriya, Scientist F, SAG-DRDO, as the chief guest. Emphasizing the critical role of cybersecurity, she stated, “Cybersecurity is essential for national interest, ensuring national security, economic stability, and citizen privacy. Strengthening it through awareness and indigenous technology is imperative in the digital age.”

MIET Chairman Vishnu Sharan and Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal engaged in discussions with Shrotriya, aiming to enhance student capabilities and foster future collaborations. The event’s success was attributed to the efforts of Campus Director Prof. Dr. Sanjay Kumar Singh, Prof. Dr. Ajay Kumar, and Prof. Dr. K.L.A. Khan.

Dr. Mukesh Rawat, Associate Dean of SDC, highlighted the event as a golden opportunity for second and third-year students, as these projects could also contribute to their semester evaluations. Prashant Gupta, CEO of ACIC MIET, emphasized that such events not only aid academic growth but also inspire innovation and entrepreneurship.

The top teams will be honored on New Year’s Eve, 2025. IMPACT 2024 underscored MIET’s pivotal role in building a self-reliant and innovative India, marking a significant milestone in the institution’s journey toward excellence.
