Hackspire 2024: A 30-Hour Hackathon Driving Innovation for Sustainable Development

Ghaziabad. Inderprastha Engineering College (IPEC), in collaboration with the Innovation Hub at AKTU, IPEC-TBI, and the ACIC MIET Meerut Foundation, successfully inaugurated Hackspire 2024, a 30-hour hackathon focused on full-stack development and open innovation. The event, held on December 27-28, brought together 150 participants from five states, including Tamil Nadu, Jaipur, Indore, and Chandigarh, to address real-world challenges aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

The hackathon aimed to foster innovation and raise awareness about global issues such as sustainable development and smart education. Out of 250 applicants, 150 students were selected to propose impactful solutions using cutting-edge technologies. The event was inaugurated by Sh. Himanshu Singhal, Director of IPEC, Prof. Dr. Ajay Kumar, and other esteemed faculty members. Sh. Abhinav Gopal, CDO of Ghaziabad, extended his best wishes to the participants and commended IPEC for its efforts in promoting innovation.

Under the leadership of Dr. Pooja Tripathi, HOD IT, and Ms. Priyanka Gupta, CEO of IPEC-TBI, the event provided a platform for students to collaborate and develop solutions for pressing global challenges. The organizing committee, including Mr. Mandeep Katre, Dr. S.P. Singh, Mr. Navneet Arora, and Ajay Kushawaha, ensured the event’s seamless execution. Social media coordinators Anmol and Rishi, along with student coordinators Sanjeet and his team, played a crucial role in amplifying the event’s reach and engagement.


Hackspire 2024 not only encouraged creativity and technological innovation but also served as a launchpad for future changemakers. By fostering collaboration among bright minds from diverse regions, the event reinforced the commitment of IPEC and its partners to nurturing young talent and advancing sustainable development through innovation.
