AI Fundamentals and Applications Explored in Guest Lecture at MIET

The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) department at MIET, Meerut organized an inspiring guest lecture on "Fundamental Principles and Latest Applications of AI" on December 13, 2024. The event, held in collaboration with "The Echoes MIET" and "CSI MIET," aimed to provide students and faculty members a platform to understand the growing importance of AI technology and its diverse applications.

Dr. Manoj Kumar Gupta, Professor at SVMD University and AI expert, was the keynote speaker for the lecture. With 22 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Gupta has published over 65 research papers at national and international levels. He began the session by introducing basic AI concepts such as machine learning, deep learning, natural language processing (NLP), and neural networks.

Dr. Gupta explained how artificial intelligence enables computers to mimic human intelligence and perform tasks autonomously. He elaborated on AI applications in various fields including healthcare, finance, automation, and education. The interactive session allowed participants to ask questions about AI's impact on future job markets, social and ethical aspects, and potential technological advancements.

The event organizing committee included student coordinators Mohini Sharma, Krishna Bhatnagar, and Abhay Chaudhary, with faculty coordinators Mr. Jagbir Singh and Ms. Priyanka Dhanraj. Dr. Vikas Srivastava, Head of the CSE department, oversaw the program coordination.

This lecture proved to be an important step in fostering students' interest in AI and providing them with a better understanding of emerging technologies. MIET once again demonstrated its commitment to keeping students aware of future technologies through such programs.
