Professor Priyank Sharma of the Electronics and Communication Engineering department at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET) has been awarded a PhD degree at the 38th convocation ceremony of Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology, Patiala. The degree recognizes his outstanding academic achievements and research work.
The ceremony was attended by S. Krishnan, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, as the chief guest, along with Professor Padmakumar Nair, Director of Thapar Institute. They conferred the PhD degree on Professor Sharma for his research titled "Design and Analysis of Hybrid Adders for Low Power Applications."
Professor Sharma's research focused on innovative hybrid adder designs that utilize minimal electrical power, potentially making a significant contribution to the fields of computer architecture and digital electronics. His work involved an in-depth study of advanced hybrid adder designs that operate with reduced power consumption.
MIET officials, including Chairman Vishnu Sharan, Vice Chairman Puneet Agarwal, Director Dr. S.K. Singh, Sanjay Vashisht, and Ajay Chaudhary, congratulated Professor Sharma on this achievement.
