One-Day Workshop Organized by the Biotechnology and Microbiology Departments at MIET


Meerut. A one-day workshop was organized by the Biotechnology and Microbiology Departments at Meerut Institute of Engineering and Technology (MIET). Thirty students from Class 12 of Kendriya Vidyalaya Muradnagar participated in the event. The primary aim of the workshop was to familiarize students with the experimental aspects of science and to raise awareness about the utility of new branches in biotechnology.

The workshop was conducted through a joint effort of the Atal Community Innovation Center, MIET Meerut Foundation, and the Biotechnology Department. Dr. Asad Amir, Head of the Biotechnology Department, inspired students through practical scientific experiments and emphasized strengthening their scientific perspective.

During the technical session, hands-on practice was provided to students, allowing them to gain practical experience. Dr. Divya Chaudhary taught experiments related to genetic engineering, while Dr. Subir Bose provided insights into plant biotechnology experiments.

The program was coordinated by Dr. Anjali Rathi, and all faculty members of the department were present, contributing significantly to fostering interest in science among the students. 

The workshop aimed to inform students about career opportunities in the field of biotechnology and inspire them in this direction. At the conclusion of the program, students expressed their gratitude to the department for the valuable experiences gained during the workshop.
